SHORT COURSE
Entrants will marshal in their start zones in Harbour Esplanade, and be moved into position near the start gantry under the directions of the official starter.
The finish line will be located adjacent to Docklands Park on Collins Street, which will provide space and a garden location to relax after completing your event.
If you prefer water views, Victoria Harbour will be just a short walk away, but please take care when crossing Bourke Street.
To ensure we are providing the safest possible environment for entrants, residents and local business, the final course is subject to change.
Short Course Description
Entrants will marshal on Harbour Esplanade near the corner of LaTrobe Street, and proceed to the start line on Footscray Road under the instructions of the official starter. After a short flat start, the course will climb onto the Bolte Bridge southbound to take in the best views of Melbourne.
Leaving CityLink at Lorimer Street, the route re-enters Docklands via Charles Grimes Bridge before finishing in the Docklands Park Precinct.
There is one aid station on the short course, at the 2.5km point.

Short Course Start Zones
Please assemble in Harbour Esplanade adjacent to Marvel Stadium and near the corner of Latrobe Street.
When you arrive at the start zone, please ensure you assemble in the zone matching the colour of your race bib.

Children aged 0-4 years are free, but must still be registered to participate

For those intending to complete the course distance is under 30 minutes
This group will receive a green number and should assemble in the designated green zone start line assembly area in Harbour Esplanade no later than 9:20am in readiness for a 9:30am start.
If you intend walking, please enter in the white or black zones, which are designated walking zones.
Only entrants wearing a green bib will be permitted to enter the green zone start line assembly area.
Zone capacity is strictly limited, so enter early to ensure you can participate in your preferred zone.
Purple JOG zone - Start Time - 9:40am
For those intending to complete the course distance in 30-45 minutes
This group will receive a purple number and should assemble in the designated purple zone in Harbour Esplanade no later than 9:30am in readiness for a 9:40am start.
Only entrants wearing a purple race number bib will be permitted to enter the purple zone start line assembly area.
Entrants wishing to run with a pram are welcome to enter this zone, and assemble at the Pram runners marshalling area, as the front of the purple zone.

White WALK zone - Start Time - 9:50am
For those intending to complete the course distance in 46-60 minutes
Short Course entrants intending to WALK with a pram MUST enter in this zone or the Family FUN zone.
These participants will have a white race number and should assemble in the designated white zone assembly area no later than 9:40am in readiness for a 9:50am start.
Only entrants wearing a white race number bib will be permitted to enter the white zone start line assembly area.
Zone capacity is strictly limited, so enter early to ensure you can participate in your preferred zone.
Family FUN zone - Start Time - 10:10am
For walkers looking to have a fun, family stroll.
These participants will have a black race number and should assemble in the designated white zone assembly area no later than 9:55am in readiness for a 10:10am start.
Only entrants wearing a black race number will be permitted to enter the Family Fun zone start line assembly area.
Zone capacity is strictly limited, so enter early to ensure you can participate in your preferred zone.
Start line
The start line is located in Harbour Esplanade near the corner of LaTrobe Street. All participants are advised to plan ahead and get to the event at least 10 minutes before the start of their event. If you are coming by car, please note road closures as they may impact access to some Docklands car parks. There is limited parking in the immediate vicinity and you will need to allow time to walk to the start line.
Please assemble in the dedicated start zone based on the colour of your race bib. Slow runners, walkers and those walking with pushers or wheelchairs should assemble at the rear of the white zone or family fun zone, to ensure they do not impede faster entrants.
Your time will be recorded when you cross the start line, NOT when the start signal is given. This ensures you will be given an accurate time for the event you have entered.
Late Starters
If you are entered in the short course race and arrive after the last person has crossed the start line, you will not be able to compete in the short course race.
The short course start will close at 10:20am. No further entrants will be permitted to start the event after this time.
