Message from the Lord Mayor of Melbourne
Children in hospital have the support of their families, the best medical professionals and, thanks to the Good Friday Appeal, funding for even more research. The City of Melbourne is proud to supportour community’s great fundraising efforts through the Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids.
For 20 years participants have gathered with family and friends, to run a long or short course and contribute to a mighty fundraising effort. Those taking part in the run are rewarded with stunning views of the city and free family activities.
Funds raised through the appeal enable the Royal Children’s Hospital to give those in their care the best possible future. Melbourne is a generous city and I have no doubt more people than ever will be at the starting line for another successful Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids. Thank you, Melbourne, I wish you a terrific day.
Nicholas Reece
Lord Mayor
