Metro Trains

One of the best ways to get to the Herald Sun / Transurban Run for the Kids is on Metro by train to Southern Cross Station. Southern Cross Station is the closest station to the start/finish in Harbour Esplanade and is about a ten minute walk around Marvel Stadium

Metro Trains morning services are servicing most lines, however there are bus replacement services on some lines, so we recommend you use the journey planner available at metrotrains.com.au to plan your journey.

Please take particular note of service disruptions if you are planning to catch services on the Frankston, Pakenham, Cranbourne and Mernda lines.

View the service disruptions on an interactive map

Many stations along the metropolitan train lines have parking facilities for you to park your car and complete your journey to the start line by train.
